BJP Kashmir greets people on the eve of New Year
‘Wishes peace, prosperity to the people’
SRINAGAR Dec 31: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir greeted a happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year-2018 to the people, with the optimism that the year would usher in a new era of growth and development for Jammu and Kashmir.
In a message, the party extended greetings to the people of the state, as well people living in other parts of the country, on the dawn of New Year, and urged party people to work zealously to ensure development and progress.
In an official statement, Altaf Thakur, Arif Raja, Ashok Kaul, Anwar Khan, Asif Masoudi and D K Nehru remembered the people, who laid their lives for the country and urged the people to make a firm resolve to build J&K as a peaceful and prosperous state. “We all must work together to ensure good governance to percolate to the grassroots level and work for the welfare of common masses,” he said.
They appealed for communal harmony, peace, amity and brotherhood in the state. “There are new possibilities, new hopes, new dreams and new resolutions for the coming year. As we step into 2018 with renewed enthusiasm for the future to come, it is also a time to reflect on the year gone by and the beautiful moments shared with our people,” they said.
